Steve Winwood

Restoration → Expression

Context

This song surfaced repeatedly in prayer and sleep between October 5–13, 2025. Each time it appeared, I had been asking the Lord for renewal after a long season of refinement and hiddenness. The lyric arrived like a personal anthem of restoration.

The Line

"She's the one makes me feel so good when everything is against me / Picks me up when I'm feeling down, so I've got something to show."

Lyrics © Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi – brief excerpt used under fair use for commentary

The Message

The "She" in the lyric became a symbol of the Holy Spirit—the Comforter who restores joy and strength when resistance is high. Heaven's message: the pages that once felt empty are now being filled with Spirit-breathed revelation. This recurring song marked the completion of refinement and the beginning of fruitful expression—what was inwardly formed will now be outwardly displayed.

Scripture Connection

"You show that you are a letter from Christ… written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God."

— 2 Corinthians 3:3

Application

Where has God turned your blank pages into testimony? Take time to thank Him for what He's already written and ask how He wants the next chapter expressed.
