The 7 Biblical Principles

Core guidelines for understanding how God speaks through dreams

1

Seek God First

Before consulting any resource, bring your dream to God in prayer. Ask the Holy Spirit for revelation and clarity. Divine interpretation comes from divine relationship.

2

Test Against Scripture

God will never contradict His written Word. Biblical literacy is essential for accurate dream interpretation. Every symbol and meaning must align with Scripture.

3

Consider Your Context

Dreams often speak directly to current circumstances, questions, and spiritual seasons. What's happening in your life provides essential context for interpretation.

4

Look for Patterns

Recurring dreams or themes indicate God is emphasizing something important. Keep a dream journal to track patterns, symbols, and themes over time.

5

Test the Fruit

Does the interpretation lead to life, peace, and alignment with God's character? Or does it produce fear, confusion, or contradiction? Test everything by its spiritual fruit.

6

Seek Wise Counsel

Share dreams with mature believers experienced in spiritual discernment. Multiple witnesses can confirm or clarify interpretation. Community provides safety and accountability.

7

Discern the Category

Dreams fall into three categories: Divine (from God), Soulish (from the mind), or Spiritual Warfare (demonic). Learning to distinguish the source helps interpret the message accurately.
